Brown= Contour/Bronzer
Pink=Blush/Highlight
Ok guys so do a skin prep then put on foundation then put on concleler and then do what is on my face then blend..blend..blend! tell me how it turns out. i look like a clown ngl, lol
This color...
I did them myself thoughts and opinions pls ( can be negative idc )
Hi, so I am 16 and relatively new to makeup. I have skin that is so dry in some areas that it literally cracks, peels, and falls off and it looks very unflattering under my makeup to the point I don't even wear foundation anymore, usually just concealer, liquid blush and mascara on a normal day going to school.
Even when attending church I try to not wear much makeup, usually only adding a bit of shimmery eyeshadow. I didnt grow up in the setting of being taught how to do makeup, I just sort of taught myself the necessary things to make myself look a little bit better than usual.
When I put mascara on, my lashes will usually just clump together and for some reason every time I put it on it manages to get on my eyelids (given my lashes are pretty long).
I want to know if anyone has any good and inexpensive skincare and makeup hacks and/or products which will make my face stop breaking out so much and being so dry and will make my makeup look at least a little bit better.
Here's a list of the stuff I use:
Clinique all about clean liquid facial soap mild
Clinique clarifying lotion
Clinique moisturizing lotion
Hempz lotion
Personal care all in one cleansing micellar water
Elf hydrating face primer
Loreal Paris true match super blendable foundation
Tarte shape tape concealer
Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer blush
Cover girl clean professional loose powder
Color pop eyeshadow pallet
Maybelline new York the colossal waterproof mascara
Loreal Paris infallible grip precision felt liner
Loreal Paris infallible pro last eye pencil
Lorac Los Angeles buildable bronzing powder
Ellen Tracy blendable powder blush
My skin is so dry I don't even use any powder anymore. I could never really get into bronzing or contoring, nor too much of eyeliner besides the occasional bit on the lower waterline. I also feel as though lots of makeup doesn't suit me, as I'm not very pretty imo.
Someone please help me find ways to make myself look better, because right now I'm really struggling and not even makeup is helping out.
Also, if anyone could give some hair tips that'd be wonderful too, because my hair is very long, almost to my fingertips, but its been thinning out considerably for the last 2ish months. I use Pantene ProV curl shampoo and conditioner (my hair isn't really curly, but my mom uses it and hair products are expensive). I shampoo twice and use a hair massager, but nothing it helping. I brush before showering and it still comes out in what I consider to be clumps. I now have a noticeable bald spot when I wear my hair up, so I don't know what to do. Someone please help me. And showering less than every day isn't an option. I have school and my hair gets very greasy, plus I work with farm animals every day.
Someone please help me, I'm really struggling. Also if someone could give some good eyeshadow colors to go with my complexion and eyes it would be very helpful. And that pic literally shows how not pretty I am. No I'm not fishing for compliments, I'm just stating a fact. And I do in fact have makeup on in this.
Im begging for help lol and your girl is on a budget, so I can't spend a ton on makeup and skincare.
i tried makeup testing
dunno if this wiki fits for it
(focus on the countour not the eyeshadow or anything else)
I'm trying to figure out what the best facial serum is to keep my skin tight and hydrated. I know there's no miracle solution that will tighten my skin overnight, but I want to keep my skin firm while I'm still young (23) -- any recommendations?
I just put up a page (or hopefully I did) on Chanel's Anti pollution facial make up remover L'eau Micellaire, but I am at a loss as to add backlinks etc...I love this product and think others should try it.
This page is my personal recommendations, of what Nail Polish Colors, Types you should start off with, from Start to Finish. This is NOT to taken seriously, as we all have personal preferences.
Now lets dive straight in.
1. Black
This is the First Color of Nail Polish to start with, weather you are a Male or a Female. This is a very Pretty Color and most people paint their Nails Black.
2. Blue
This is Fun Color to have. You can do it yourself, or go to the Nail Salon. It come be as Light or as Dark as you want it. This looks great on Guys and Girls alike.
3. Pink
This is Color a Female can do, after painting them Blue. It is Fun, Feminine Color and is not to be mistaken as a Boy's Color.
4. Gray
Gray is the next shade on this list. Gray is in the middle between, Black and White. It not as Pure as White. It is a Pretty Color and is for Boys and Girls like. What's not to like about Gray.
5. Purple
This is a Royal Color. This is great color to have. With Purple your Nails can look Pretty and feel Pretty at the same time. It is great color for both Guys and Girls. You can get alot of Happy Faces from this one.
6. Green
This is a Color, that is an Irish Color. You can't get pinched, for wearing Green. This color comes in variety of shades, including Neon. This is great for Guys and Girls alike.
7. Brown
This is Color that represents Wood. This is a Good Color on Hard Surfaces and both Guys and Girls can wear this Color.
8. White
This Color is as Pure as it comes. This is great Color to have. This is a Color, that Guys and Girls, can both wear. However, at Weddings women wear this color only.
9. Red
This Color is a Cautioned one. This while not a Female Color, drives the line in between, Male and Female colors alike. It can give Feminine Vibes, to some. This color can be worn by, Guys and Girls alike.
10. Orange
This is Color that looks Great on Guys and Girls alike. There is nothing wrong with Orange. This is a difference shade, then Brown is, but is apart of this same Family.
11. Yellow
This is a Pastel Color, and this looks great on Guys and Girls alike. It can be like a Highlighter, though depending on the shade it can be see able too.
This is the Nail Polish Timeline for Colors. Now let's move onto different Types of Nail Polishes.
1. Glossy Nail Polishes
This is easiest one to find. Glossy Nail Polishes, can give off this beautiful Shine, on your Nails. This is the kind that, I personally love. Lot of Guys and Girls alike, love their Nails shiny.
2. Matte Nail Polishes
This gives off, a dull texture, when on your Nails. This is not, as easy to find, as you may think. It not a bad Type at all. If you like Matte that's fine, but there's no Shine to it.
Lastly comes Nail Art Supplies.
1. Nail Scissors
This is used to cut the Nails. If you want Long Nails like I do. Then, you can wait a while, before you cut them.
2. Nail File
This is file the Nails down. It works great when getting Nail Sizes.
3. Nail Buffer
You can skip this skip, if you don't want to Rough them. I completely get it.
4. Nail Wipes
This is only if you use the Nail Buffers.
5. Base Coat
This is to harden the Nails to prevent straining.
6. Top Coat
This is after the Nail Polish is applied.
7. Nail Lamp
If you are willing, to go the Extra Step. You can buy a Nail Lamp. This will help the Nail Polish to dry.
8. Spray
This is help finish the drying process. You can use the Pam Cooking Spray to help dry it.
That's all I have for you Today. But, what do you think? Do you like this Nail Polish Timeline, or would have rearranged it. Let me know in Comments down below.
Which is your preference Purple or Red?
Rich, dramatic and bewitching purples and violets, or bold, sultry and vampy reds and burgundies?
These tend to be fall and winter favorites. Not every brand, every year—brings out a fall or winter red and purple range, however, ''usually'' at least one of these colours are found or featured every fall and/or winter by a myriad of collections and/or brands.
Aubergine or eggplant, blackberry, grape, plum, mauve, fig, etc. are just some rich purples/violets. Purples and violets tend to be regarded as cooler colours, but more people can wear this than they know. Those with brown, green and hazel eyes, their eye colours are enhanced with a range of medium to deeper purple eyeshadows, and those with blue eyes—are enhanced with softer and slightly muted medium purple eyeshadows. When it comes to skin tones: the colour wheel allocates purple/violet as a cool colour, but in terms of hair it tends to be designated as a neutral—therefore more universally flattering, even with those with olive toned skin.
Oxblood, burgundy, maroon, wine, auburn, cardinal, etc. are just some bold reds. Reds tend to be a safer colour since they can lean warm, cool, muted or remain a true red, and usually anyone can pull off some kind of red when it comes to lipsticks and nail polishes. When it comes to skin tones: cooler tones will look better with cooler looking reds, just as warmer tones will look better with warmer looking reds. If you are olive toned true reds will look best makeup wise, but reds for hair is generally cautioned.
Hair color (natural such as blonde, black, red, or brown)
Hair style (Leave it, ponytail, pigtail, braid or a type of any of these)
Makeup (excessive colors or not I do Lip gloss, mascara, and eyeshadow)
Type of shirt
Type of pants
Type of shoes
Color of clothes
Types of material and/or shape in jewelry
If you have a link that describes it all even better.
P.S This is for a school day
No one has been unaffected by these times but the world has been trying to take it in stride. Now that there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel a mix of lingering depression and oncoming celebration seems to be the theme, hence the seemly leaning inspiration of Dystopian Summer. The complimentary clash of blue, aqua, teal and cyan of a futuristic or technology glow and rust, burnt orange and copper metallic of a blazing sun and corrosion. This is the Wiki's featured colour scheme for summer.
Featured cool colour is Lucid, a transformer teal eyeshadow shade released last summer with Naked Ultraviolet and released as a single this spring/summer's 24/7 Shadows. Alternatively, Holographic Glow blue dimensional highlighter can double down on a cool futuristic glow.
Featured warm colour is Wild One, a matte burnt orange reminiscing of Naked Heat but released as a single this spring/summer's 24/7 Shadows. Alternatively, Stoned Vibes or Rose Glow rose-gold dimensional highlighters can trump even the blazing summer sun.
Go bolder and use both of these cool and warm complimentary colours for eye catching looks. Naked Wild West a copper corrosion palette can give you both colour ranges. Whether you favour cool or warm colours, palettes like this especially from Urban Decay are not exactly new: Detour and Beached palettes are very similar if you already own. So you may want to take out these old palettes or invest in their newest.
Quick and dirty thoughts on Urban Decays 24/7 Shadows and Moondust Shadows. So these are the new permanent mono shadow lines (so far, hopefully they will release more colours in time).
So classic neutrals that have stayed Virgin, Sin, Half Baked, Tease, Mushroom and Blackout. As well as some of the best Moondust Cosmic, Space Cowboy, Solstice, Lithium and Glitter Rock.
I think the crown jewel of the launch of the new product line is Lucid, not only did I want this as a single even when it was just in Naked Ultraviolet, it sold out on the U.S. UD site ASAP and still isn't available on the Canadian UD site yet and I check multiple times a day before (and after) 24/7 Shadows were launched.
Freak got a colour revision.
Dumb Luck appears to be a dead ringer to Hold 'Em from the Naked Wild West.
Rundown appears to be a revision of the limited edition S.G.H.
Besides that the line looks like vegan versions of existing shades (either from past singles or palettes). For example Overdraft appears to be the Honey shade made vegan. I just think it is a shame it looks like they are phasing out the original Urban Decay classic shade names for vegan versions of the same or almost the same shade. Save the OG UD names!
I hope we get more of our classic shades added, some old returns (singles and palette only colours) to the new permanent like:

I personally cannot get enough of Duotones and Transformer Shades, one of my favourites has to be the red to red-pink with green to teal shift range. This means Lounge, Bloodstone, Solstice, Radiate, Fortune Teller, Golden Hour and V.R. just to name the Urban Decay's eyeshadow versions. For a non-UD version MAC has Starry Night.
The most common combo I personally use is Lounge and Solstice, heavy on Lounge or slight on Lounge, blending out or filling in with Solstice; for bold to ultra glittery looks. I also sometimes use with Relish for more red. My eyes are Green/Blue/Grey and these shades helps the green dominate.
When I want to create a nude and subtle version I use pinkish or taupe-ish nudes like Laced, Hacked or Tease with a Lucid transformer shade halo.
These type of looks I highly recommend for anyone who has green eyes or is ready to venture into this shade range, duotones or transformer shades.
Echoing last years post, that, I am fortunate enough to live somewhere where we have more days of falling cherry blossom petals; than we do of snow in a year and spring seems to starting to be turning here but not without some grey reluctance. So the incoming spring collections are a welcome diversion.
Brands tend use spring to release their soft shades, nudes and pinks to correlate with nature like so far this year Dior's Pure Glow, MAC's Black Cherry or soft pastels with whimsical speckled fleck glitter by ILNP in the Tea Party Collection. If you are adverse to pinks or pastels it is another season to wait out but some brands anticipate this like Urban Decay and released a Nude, Metals and Teal Pop Palette for us.
Last year I was hoping—and I still am—for more confetti nail polishes; this year I am hoping for some transforming toppers like OPI's Metamorphosis Collection in Champaign, gold, rose gold and/or iridescent colours.
Nail Valentines Day and brighten up the rest of Winter all the way into Spring with bright, soft and sweet candy inspired shades! Even if you aren't a fan of the Sweethearts Candies themselves—there is something confectious about these eye candy colours.
Not a fan of pastels? Candy Apple reds, Fresh Mint greens, Bright Jelly pinks, purples, blues and oranges—are just as tasty! Adding fun shaped decals, confetti toppers or bright French Tips are other options to keep a whimsical spin to your looks—are all the more reason to love yourself.

The Beached Palette is also similar, but leaning more warm terracottas and coppers, and bluer teals.
